The 2026 GRAMMY season has begun with the official release of the Recording Academy's complete list of nominees, laying the groundwork for Music's Biggest Night. Artists such as Chappell Roan, Doechii, KAROL G, Mumford & Sons, Sabrina Carpenter, Sam Smith, and others presented all 95 GRAMMY Categories during a livestream today that revealed the nominees.
The Recording Academy's Voting Members, a peer group made up of music producers, engineers, songwriters, artists, and others, will choose the winners. The GRAMMY Award is the only peer-voted, industry-recognized music award, and their votes determine each GRAMMY nominee and winner that are announced on Music's Biggest Night.
A significant change to the GRAMMY Awards procedure is also occurring this year: Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover will be two new GRAMMY Categories for the 2026 GRAMMYs. The Recording Academy's dedication to acknowledging a wider range of artistic craft and respecting the changing ways that music is produced and enjoyed is furthered by these additions.
